Humans :

Ty (Jack Dunn) : You're part of the US Delta Force which is a very elite special forces team that has been sent in to investigate an asteroid that has crashed somewhere in the pacific ocean. The reason for the investigation is that this asteroid didn;t make a crater at all so it's being treated as highly suspicous. You are eqipped with a Muscular Nano Suit aswell as the usual weapons and attachments which you see in some of the videos (SCAR). You'll look like the guy in the picture below most likely.

Allies : Your allies for the first leg of the game are also part of Delta Force. Their job is to basically back you up as you fight against koreans. Later in the game, you will also fight with the US Navy and Airforce (by the looks of it) on a carrier. In the second leg of the game, you will ally with korean soldiers to try and defeat the new alien threat. You 'may' also fight against chinese but this is unconfirmed.

Koreans : You will be fighting North Koreans in the first leg of the game. During this part of the game, they're basically just defending the asteroid crash site. You'll here them talking north korean as they try to work together to kill you and your squad. They will use a more futuristic type of AK Assualt Rifle (which you can equip). Later in the game, you will become allies with them so they will try to communicate with you by speaking broken english.

Aliens :

Alien Infantry : You will fight both alien mechs and vehicles aswell as the aliens themselves. The aliens wear a type of mech suit when they are out of there frozen sphere. The suit helps protect them from the harsh climate of earth aswell as from you. They use advanced ice based weapons which you can steal of them and use yourself (see Weapons and Inventory for more info). They will usually accompany alien machines such as the exosuit but they will also be on their own and with alien squads. In the last leg of the game where you enter and fight inside the alienship, you will fight aliens in there birthday suits rather than there metal armored suits.

Alien Exosuit : This is the big alien mech you see on the carrier in many of the videos. It's the second largest alien machine in the game. I'm guessing it's driven by aliens inside the machine rather than it being a mutant type alien. It equips freezing guns aswell as powerful tenticle type legs which can crush vehicles and infantry.

Largest Alien Mech : Almost nothing is known about this alien machine. But it may fly judging by the image below. The picture below shows an alien machine that could well be it.

Wildlife :

Birds : There are birds in crysis just like there was in FarCry. They don't seem to be worried by the massive sphere that ingulfs the island as they fly around right next to it. The birds may be used tactically but also against you. If you're going stealth and you scare a flock of birds, you may give your position away. But then you can probably also distract the enemy with them aswell. You will also be able to shoot the birds like in FarCry, so they will make for some good target practice.

Others : Not much more is known about other creatures at the moment. But I'll guess that there will be pigs or bores and possibly snakes and rats. I'll update this page as more information becomes available.
